
Visas and rules of entry to Azerbaijan

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, entry into the country is subject to visa regulations. Depending on the country of origin, foreign citizens are subject to various visa arrangements:
- visa-free entry;
- visa on arrival;
- electronic visa (e-visa);
- visa obtained at an embassy.
Countries whose citizens are eligible for visa-free entry into Azerbaijan include Albania, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Moldova, the UAE, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
To simplify and expedite the visa process, citizens of certain countries may obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. This list includes Israel, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.

If a country does not fall into any of the above categories, a visa may be obtained by applying to an Embassy of Azerbaijan. If there is no Embassy of Azerbaijan in your country, you must apply to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in a neighboring country.
Entry into Azerbaijan is possible only by air. A passport valid for at least three months beyond the end of the trip is required for entry.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport is located east of Baku, approximately 30 km from the conference venue. The airport receives flights from 68 cities worldwide, including: Almaty, Ankara, Astana, Beijing, Berlin, Dubai, Frankfurt am Main, Geneva, Islamabad, Istanbul, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, London, Mineralnye Vody, Minsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, New York, Paris, Prague, Sofia, St. Petersburg, Tashkent, Tbilisi, Tehran, Tel Aviv, Ufa, Urumqi, and Yekaterinburg.
