
Visas and rules of entry to Georgia

Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canada, China, all European Union countries, Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, USA, Uzbekistan, and a number of other countries are allowed visa-free entry to Georgia. The list of countries whose citizens are allowed to enter without visas is given at https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/entering-georgia. For countries with which Georgia has a visa regime it is necessary to obtain a visa.
A foreign passport is required to enter Georgia. Shota Rustaveli International Airport is located 15 km east of Tbilisi. The airport receives flights from many cities, including Almaty, Amsterdam, Antalya, Astana, Baku, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Geneva, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kuwait, Leipzig, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Sharjah, Tehran, Urumqi, Vienna, Warsaw, Yerevan. Buses and shuttle buses run from the airport to the nearest metro station.
Automobile border crossings are available at the borders with Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
